That Adopted Girl Spring 2015
Juliana Whitney, who is the creator of That Adopted Girl, provided 300 Easter Baskets to Eagle Quest for not only the children in our homes, but for the children we knew out in the community that were in need. They were all different shapes and sizes giving each child their own special basket. Learn more about That Adopted Girl at www.thatadoptedgirl.com/
Dallin Luth Spring 2015
Eagle Quest of Nevada would like to thank Dallin Luth for his commitment to our activity program and the children we serve. We were fortunate enough to have Dallin select Eagle Quest for his Eagle Scout Project. Dallin worked diligently to fundraise over $3,000 to purchase lumber to construct twenty-five, beyond sturdy, 8x8 tent platforms to keep our kids dry thought the 2015 Bear Valley Summer Camp. Thanks to Dallin’s efforts, our kids were able to sleep comfortably in their tents and off the ground. The kids stayed completely dry and had one of the best Eagle Quest Summer Camps to date.
Hero Bails Bonds July 2015
Johnny Caruso, the owner and operator of Hero Bail Bonds, started off doing a back to school drive to get backpacks and school supplies for the 2015-2016 school year. It turned into being much more than he expected. He not only received the supplies he requested, but he also received new and gently used clothes and shoes. It’s so amazing how much community support he was given not only in the Las Vegas area but in his Pahrump location as well.
Kaden Walker Spring 2015
Kaden decided for his Eagle Scout project that he wanted to give back to the children of his community. He made 200 birthday bags for the children placed in Eagle Quest homes to receive on their birthday. These bags are essentially a party in a bag. They have balloons, banners, noise makers, candles, and a few more surprises. These bags will make each child that receives one feel much more special on their birthday. A birthday should be celebrated and Kaden helped to make that possible for the children of Eagle Quest.
Tyler Moore Summer 2015
Eagle Quest wants to give a huge shout out to Tyler Moore from Troop 301. Tyler, a truly impressive thirteen year old, who is working on obtaining his Eagle Scout rank, recently chose to work with Eagle Quest for his Eagle Scout Project. Tyler set a lofty goal of making sure each foster child in our program had a new pair of shoes. Let’s just say that Tyler knocked it out of the park and exceeded all expectations. Through Tyler’s hard work and dedication, he was able to fund-raise approximately 150 pairs of brand name, new shoes and socks for the foster children in our care. With school starting next week, this incredible donation couldn’t have come at more of an ideal time. Because of Tyler and his efforts, our kids will be going back to school feeling and looking good with their new shoes. As you all know, shoes are huge to teenagers and we are so thankful that this year our kids will be sporting some brand new kicks.
Jarret Stoll Summer 2015
Jarret Stoll, a Canadian professional hockey player, provided free hockey lessons to a large number of the boys placed in Eagle Quest homes over a four day period. This hockey camp took place right before the boys went back to school. It was an experience of a lifetime for them to have so we want to say thank you. Hockey is a sport that they would likely have never had the opportunity to see in person, let alone play.
